The price of nice

All the Rage graphic WSJ. jpgPeople stressed over the economy can learn a few tips on dealing with hostility in others from the pros–the men and women who work in customer-service jobs. Three tips from the Wall Street Journal can help us deal with rage:

  • don’t get mad
  • express sympathy
  • look at the ceiling and breathe or trace figure-eights in the air with your eyes.

The fourth tip is a gimme: help solve the complainer’s problem.
